Center • 1 Partial DMAT Martin County Special Needs Shelter • 1 Partial DMAT St Lucie SNS • 7 DMATs either staged or on alert. • 2 DMORTS on alert • 165 nurses being deployed for special needs shelter staff relief. • 1 VMAT on alert. • 77 Special Needs Shelters open with 6099 residents. • 3831 patients/residents evacuated from 131 health care facilities. • Responding to the county requests for medical staff and health related supplies and equipment. • Monitoring response to storm damage to the medical facilities and services. • Assisting the continued deployment of special needs shelters.
ESF #8 – Health & Medical • Unmet Needs – • None at this time • Future Operations – • Continued evaluation of the response to health care infrastructure damage due to the storm. • Response to local health care services experiencing surge capacity overload. • Deployment of overhead assessment and response teams following the path of the storm. • Determination of preventative health care measures. ESF #10 – Hazardous Materials • Current Operations – • Conducting joint overflights of impacted coastal and inland areas. • Updated Emergency Final Order signed by DEP Secretary for 22 impacted counties. • Conducted site and overflight of Cargill Facility. Releases of wastewater have stopped. • Provided containment boom to Belle Glade Marina to assist during vessel recovery. • Unmet Needs – • None at this time • Future Operations – • Continue to monitor freeboard at all phosphate faciliites. • Continue assessments throughout impacted areas. ESF #11 – Food & Water • Current Operations – • Water and ice trucks continue to be deployed to distribution sites throughout impacted counties in the State. • LSA staff deployed to LSA #1 and #2, and to Lakeland staging. • Processing requests for USDA commodities from TSA, ARC and Seventh Day Adventist. • Delivered water tankers to support hospitals and medical facility. • Unmet Needs – • None at this time • Future Operations – • Supporting Mass Care needs. • Monitoring inventories and reordering as necessary. ESF #12 – Energy • Current Operations – • Estimated 2,076,756 customers without power • Restorations have begun and are ongoing • Continuing to monitor outages • 17,250 out-of-state personnel entering the state to assist with power restoration • Continuing to work transportation fuel problems • No significant natural gas utility issues or outages. • Unmet Needs – • None at this time • Future Operations – • Continue restoration of power as weather permits • Continue to work with suppliers and vendors to get an adequate fuel supply to the needed locations Up next – ESF 13
