Element of the day • 113 – Ununtrium – Uut • While its discovery was claimed in 2003 in Dubna, Russia (with a most-stable isotope of 20 seconds), the IUPAC has yet to officially recognize this element. • Multiple experiments must be done at different institutions and the data from each need to meet strict criteria by IUPAC before going to a naming committee.
