1. VISION To provide opportunity for children and teens to develop and grow through Minor League Baseball experience.
2. MISSION • Positive investment in Minor League athletes • Individual growth through achievement • Social skills development through fair play and teamwork
3. OBJECTIVE • Increase exposure for baseball in South Simcoe • Create public prominence of sport through baseball within the Town of Innisfil
4. GOAL • Administer 8-12 week winter baseball clinic for roll-out in January 2011 with tryouts for 2011 season • Expansion of IMBA Select Baseball Program for 2011 season based on sufficient number of players available to field a team • Build on great reputation of IMBA and its Select Program
5. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION 5.1. WINTER CLINIC • Duration:8 – 12 weeks (one evening per week), starting second week in January 2011 • Cost: $40.00 per player (To be eligible a player must be registered with IMBA for 2011 season) • Goal: To enhance players baseball skills and improve • physical fitness for the upcoming season • Location: TBA • Activities:Proper stretching and warm-up • Assessment and correction of throwing mechanics • Assessment and correction of batting mechanics • Infield and Outfield tactical situation awareness • Pitching mechanics • Games and fun competition

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION cont’d 5.2. 2011 Players Selection for IMBA Select Program • Try-outs will take place approximately in the midterm of IMBA winter clinic ( early in February 2011) – watch for dates and details on IMBA web site www.innisfilbaseball.com • The program will be a somewhat new type of baseball activities that requires commitment to the team from both players and parents. It involves traveling for tournaments and Select Loop Games and higher cost than house league • The teams will have 12-14 players and possible 2-4 AP’s to cover vacancies during summer vacation

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION cont’d 5.2. 2011 players selection for IMBA Select Program cont’d… Positions on the select team will be offered based on coach’s and coaching convener’s assessment only as well as based on utility of a player and open/unassigned positions on the existing team (unassigned positions placement does not applies to a newly formed Select Team). The selection process shall be fair and free from discrimination; however, coaches will not engage in any process of explanation with parent or any other individual as to why prospects who meet all the technical requirements of the team are not selected.

Coaching and Principles • Coaches of the IMBA Select Program Teams will be certified by NCCP Coaching Certificate • Involvement of the coaches is purely based on volunteer bases • Fitness aspects of the program will be focused on baseball specific exercise and stretching • The focus of the coaching will be to develop skills level of the players. Furthermore there will be an emphasis put on team spirit development, camaraderie, and healthy relationship amongst Coach-Player-Parent-IMBA. • Coaches involved in IMBA Select Program must pass a municipal police check • Coaches development and support will be supervised and provided by IMBA Director of Coaching

Team Administration • Teams will be registered with YSBA Dedicated Select Loop • Teams will be recognized as a Dedicated Select Teams • Teams will have assigned practice and home field with reserved times • Teams will have access to pitching machine if needed • IMBA will provide qualified umpires for home games • Season will could consist of 30+ games including an exhibition pre-season games depending on the number of the YSBA Select Loop teams within the age group • Teams will attend SOBA and/or OBA Tournaments; YSBA Select Championship and possibly one tournament in USA • Teams will be involved in YSBA Dedicated Select loop - approx. 16 games (depends on the number of teams registered in the age group) • The players involved in IMBA Select Program WILL NOT play SSMBA House league loop • Teams will wear premium IBMA Select uniforms

Cost of the Program • To be eligible for the program’s winter clinic, tryouts and a position on the team a player MUST BE REGISTERED with IMBA for the 2011 season Select Program Fees: 1. IMBA Registration Fee as per IMBA Registration Fees 2. Winter Clinic Fee- $40.00 per player 3. Tryout Fee - $20.00 per player 4. Select Fee - $250.00 per player

Cost of the Program cont’d… • The Select Fee includes: • YSBA and SOBA Registration Fee, YSBA Championship Tournament Fee • Cost of Diamonds Rental for practice and home games • Cost of Umpires • Equipment Cost • Winter Clinic Cost • Tournament Fees • Full premium uniform, incl. batting jacket, compression shirt and baseball bag • Note: The Select Fee does not include any travel, food or accommodation expenses. • Fundraising is a very important part in this program to keep it affordable and attractive for participants. The Select Fee is NON REFUNDABLE!
