  14. 3 Ton ECU Cooling Cable Upgrade SEC • Need for SEC caused by R-134a ECUs requiring 40 amps for cooling circuit • Current MF’s - Heat circuit = 40-amperes ; Cool Circuit = 30-amperes • Increase cool circuit to 40-amperes; new wiring and circuit breaker • SEC incorporation will take place on an attrition basis • Kits will need to be obtained from the kitting activity when installing new R-134a ECUs • Kit will include 40 amp breaker, two 40 amp cables - one from circuit breaker to ECU front panel and one from ECU front panel to terminal board. Kit will also include 6 conductor cable to accommodate the digital thermostat

  15. 3 Ton ECU Cooling Cable Upgrade SEC • Cables coming from circuit breakers will be marked with a band of colored tape at the connector end (Heat RED/Cool BLUE); both same—troubleshooting • Connecter on ECU front panel to be labeled Heat / Cool • Configuration sites will change cables on shelters going through their sites • New shelters will include 40 amp cable.

  19. Thermostat Bracket • Additional Rivnuts will need to be installed in the thermostat bracket to accommodate the digital thermostat that is supplied with the RR-134a ECU. • An additional clearance hole for the thermostat cable will need to be added.
