General • There have been several struggles about the procurement of the material for the E-Readout. • Generally we got offers and availabilities from the companies that have not been respected once the order was issues. • An overall view of the procurement status for the full nSQP project can be found on the sharepointin the “ProcurementPlan” folder nSQP meeting 2011-03-24
Material for the electrical Readout • Data line Wires Quantity ordered: sufficient for trail test (1ISP +1OSP) and for the nPSQP Delivery date: 15-Apr-2011 Destination Wires are shared with IBL. Bundles being produced at CERN and (some of them) sent to SLAC. nSQP meeting 2011-03-24
Connectors • ELCO 60 pins plugs (E-board) Quantity ordered: 1000 Delivery date: DELIVERED • ELCO 60 pins receptacle (Cable Board) Quantity ordered: 1000 Delivery date: 15 Apr 2011 • JAE 80 pins plugs Quantity ordered: 500? Delivery date: ~60 in hands (delivery date for the rest?) • JAE 80 pins receptacles Quantity ordered: 500? Delivery date: ~100 in hands (delivery date for the rest?) • Connectors for ConnectorBoards and D/B optoboard ordered by Shane? Have they been delivered? nSQP meeting 2011-03-24
Electronics • LVDS chips Quantity ordered: 160 Delivery date: DELIVERED. On the way to CERN • 4 testing boards have been produced at Bonn. 3 of them are on the way to CERN Mass production timeline Unfortunately, the E-boards (loaded with LVDS chips) are integrated into the nSQP's rather soon. The reason is because the ISP and OSP trap the E-boards in between. The first production E-boards must be available in October 2011. Given the 3/4 months turnaround time to produce the chips, the submission should take place early June at latest. May submission seems to be the only opportunity at the moment. In the past we had a similar problem with the optoboards. They came in late and the SQP assembly sequence was modified to accomplish with the delay. But it did not quite work time wise. nSQP meeting 2011-03-24
Boards • E-boards • First loading in the trial test (on going now) can take place in May 6 E-Boards in total. • Boards for the nPSQ ( the rest of a batch of 40) are expected late June. • Boards for the mass production: October 2011 • Bundles (and relative boards) • 18 bundles by May (one full octant not all position loaded with E-board) • 36 Bundles by June (nPSQP) • ~360 by October 2011 nSQP meeting 2011-03-24
