  2. Existe, na natureza, um equilíbrio biológico entre todos os seres vivos. Neste sistema em equilíbrio os organismos produzem substâncias que são úteis para outros organismos e assim sucessivamente. A poluição vai existir toda vez que resíduos (sólidos, líquidos ou gasosos) produzidos por microorganismos, ou lançados pelo homem na natureza, forem superior à capacidade de absorção do meio ambiente, provocando alterações na sobrevivência das espécies. A poluição pode ser entendida, ainda, como qualquer alteração do equilíbrio ecológico existente. Poluição Ambiental
