  1. PERFIL EPIDEMIOLOGICO DE TUBERCULOSIS EN LA JURISDICCIÓN SANITARIA 08 LÁZARO CÁRDENAS MICHOACÁN DEPARTAMENTE DE EPIDEMIOLOGIA/PROGRAMA DE TUBERCULOSIS

  2. De acuerdo con estimaciones de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, un tercio de la población mundial está infectada con Mycobacterium tuberculosis, y de 5 a 10 por ciento de los infectados podría desarrollar la enfermedad en algún momento de su vida.

  3. En México la mortalidad por esta causa, si bien presenta una tendencia descendente (1.8 defunciones por cada 100, 000 habitantes en 2006 contra 2.8 en 2000), continúa siendo un problema grave de salud pública que exige redoblar el esfuerzo desde campos diversos como el técnico, médico, farmacológico y social.
