Current status INE.Stat - Chile What do we have today? 193 datasets published .Stat v7.x Published products Monthly products are updated 48 hours after publication at www.ine.cl(official website) Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas - www.ine.cl User guidelines People who participated in the project More than 30 people from 6 business areas • Video explanation • Step-by-step user guide • User guide (full) • 6,846 sessions in 3 months • 80 sessions on average / day
Keys to successful implementation • Strategic institutional decision-making • Multidisciplinary team (Computer scientists, Statisticians and Economists) • Ongoing support and technical collaboration from the International Labour Organization BenefitsMain difficulties • Standardization of disseminated informa-tion, with a single format and related metadata • Standardization of the processes of design and construction of indicators • Integration of multiple indicators under the same visualization logic for users • Single repository • Understanding the dissemination process on the Stat platform (backoffice, DPI, desktop utilities) • Problems with the functioning of Version 7 (e.g. flash graphics / non-responsive website) • Great efforts in man-hours to standardize and generate data from different statistical pro-duction systems and with different formats
Future challenges • To incorporate a standard for data output from statistical produc-tion systems • As part of the SIS-CC community, to progressively increase domains and indicators to replace traditional dissemination through Excel tabs. • To plan the migration to .STAT Suite • To create an internal working group that actively participates and collaborates with the SIS-CC community Visit our INE.Stat website: https://stat.ine.cl/
