2. Box home har opplevd mye på sitt korte liv. Fra et innspill i et overopphetet boligmarked, på et galleri i Oslo 2007. Kunne blitt Erlend Loe sin skrivestue. Spredde isteden glede og begeistring i Tromsøs gater med ”Kåfjordske kultursprell”. Stor internasjonal oppmerksomhetog bakgrunn for mang en lokal debatt. Med en god porsjonhumør, galskap og mot bidrar den til Kåfjords omdømmebygging og profilering av vår kultur.Den har reist langt med bil og båt, men nå har boxen lagt endelig til kai ved Olderdalen Havn. Den omdøpes herved til Kåfjord-Boxen.En hilsen fra Sami Rintela: I saw a nature program once, where two species of small birds wereliving on the same  lonely island.On the island, there was both lowland jungle and high arctic moutain.The bird in the jungle was beautiful, full of colorful feathers. It was dancingand collecting flowers to pleasure the female, living an easy and rich life.The bird in the arctic was a small grey feature, and used all its time tofind food in the stony cold landscape. Once a year, they stopped andmet quickly to continue life. Then back to work, alone.But this arctic bird could sing. The singing was so beautiful it felt like the wholeworld has to stop listening to it.I think the same goes for people.In my mind Kåfjord is this small bird, and it has a beautiful,meaningful and important song to sing.
