  3. Simplify Radicals Re-write as the product of two whole number factors where one of the factor is a perfect square. 16 is a perfect square

  4. Adding/Subtracting Like Radicals Simplify one or more expressions so that all or most expressions have a like radical. Add or subtract the coefficient of the like radicals

  5. Rationalize the Denominator Eliminate a radical in the denominator by multiplying the numerator and the denominator by the radical in the denominator.
