  4. He started going with Christopher Columbus. His goal was to find the Fountain of Youth.

  5. He stayed at Santo Domingo when Columbus went home.

  6. Ponce de Leon claimed lots of land for Spain.

  7. After a few stops Ponce de Leon landed on a land that he named Florida.

  8. When he went back he had a fight with Native Americans.

  9. Ponce de Leon later died on Puerto Rico in July of 1521.
