Learning needs • Teachers need to be trained in all stages of disaster management i.e- preparedness, Response, post disaster rehabilitation • Past Disasters have shown that children are very vulnerable to disasters. Hence. Knowledge has to be transmitted to them through the teachers • Need for preparation of school safety plan including building level and outside disasters
Course Targets • Teachers will be able to train their students in different aspects of disaster management • Trained teachers will be able to contribute to development of more suitable curriculum for students • They will be trained in preparation of school safety plans
