AIM FRB Briefing Jerry Benzel Contractor Support to NAVSEA 07TR3 (202) 203-6831 Jerry.Benzel@baesystems.com
Discussion Points • JDTA data process and projects • Electronic classroom, ILT delivery, & Assessments • Innovations on traditional AIM usage • AIM Expertise • Other comments
JDTA/NJA Data and Process • What JDTA/NJA work, if any, is occurring at your activity? None • Are you familiar with/using CPM to support JDTA efforts? Familiar yes, but have not used • Who is your POC for CPM supporting JDTA? William Bryan would have most knowledge.
Electronic Classroom, ILT Delivery, & Assessments • Almost all of our MSA supported curricula is linked to IETMs for use in the SLC electronic classrooms using Elite. NAVSEA no longer has life cycle support of the ECRs due to their being used for individual training • Assessment process and toolset(s) None
Innovations on Traditional AIM Usage • Developing our Fault Insertion Guides in MS Word and publishing as Adobe Acrobat files so they could be linked into AIM as IMI files and distributed with AIM updates. • Committed to linking various kinds of IETMs to AIM. i.e. HTML, XML, Adobe Acrobat, Navy PMS, ATIS Raster, etc.
AIM Expertise • Do you have AIM expert(s)/expertise in your organization? We have a fair amount of expertise in overall AIM, and expert knowledge when doing IETM/Tech Doc linking and use in the SLC electronic classrooms. • Are they familiar with CPM/LO Module as well? Our MSAs are not, only William Bryan, contractor support has actually used CPM/LO during GAT testing. NAVSEA’s position is unless specifically funded to do so, will not change curricula format for the sake of change. • Are they also curriculum development experts? Some are some aren’t. We range from highly experienced personnel like Fred Horne to just starting out.
