No-Warning Events Requests for assistance should be made to one of four primary SEADOG agencies: • Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport • Greater Orlando Aviation Authority • Pensacola Regional Airport • Houston Airport System
Rule #2 When you ask for assistance, BE SPECIFIC!
FEMA Resource Typing “…the categorization and description of response resources that are commonly exchanged in disasters through mutual aid agreements” • Broken into nine disciplines. • None specific to aviation.
Rule #3 When aid and support arrives from outside agencies, these personnel will know… (ALMOST) NOTHING about your airport.
Required Information Airport Status Report – Gives a snap-shot overview of the operational condition of the field. Possibly provided during initial briefing. • Safety Issues • Runways opened, restricted or closed • Taxiways opened, restricted or closed • Security integrity • Communications • Aircraft Operations • Current NOTAMs and TFRs.
Required Information General Airport Diagram – Acquired from in-house source, Airport Facilities Directory or other published charts.
