CREATION OF THE REGIONAL MEMBERSHIP PLANS • Regional plans developed by the RI Directors • Allocated $3 million over 3 years to fund tactics to increase membership • Strategies focus on: • Attracting new members • Engaging current members • Increasing diversity
INNOVATIVE IDEAS AROUND THE WORLD • Club Health Check (Australia) ensures that clubs are attractive to prospective members • Meeting with Strategic Partners (India), such as meeting with Jaycees to discuss opportunities to identify qualified prospective Rotary members • Inviting Spouses to join (Taiwan) increases membership and improves gender balance in clubs
TAIWAN’S REGIONAL MEMBERSHIP PLAN • In 2012-2013, Taiwan set 3-year membership growth goals • Retention: reduce member loss to < 5% yearly • Improve gender ratio: female membership of > 18% • New Generations: 10% age under 35 • More contributors: $100 per capita • Improve diversity • Create a large project • Plan of future redistricting
