The Centre Vision • By 2020 the Centre will become recognised globally as the UK’s: “National Centre for Supply Chain Innovation in Transport Engineering” Strategy • Build collaborative practices within and between Planes, Trains, Automobiles sectors • Promote commercialisation of applications arising from these collaborations • Support necessary skills and workforce development to ensure successful adoption
The Centre Offering • Intelligence-led analysis of business need • Focus on building long-term relationships within and between transport engineering supply chains • Holistic or "whole company" approach to implementing solutions • Blend of expertise as required from four core perspectives: • Technology and Innovation – providing a conduit to research expertise for the commercialisation of new technologies and innovative ideas. • Strategic Supply Chain Management – creating business transformation by capturing opportunities inherent in high value services. • Enterprise Creation - supporting diversification into new markets and “spin-out” opportunities. • Workforce Development – assisting the development of stronger leadership teams and the adoption of new manufacturing methods
