  1. FIGURA 7.20 L’aneuploidia è causata da problemi nella segregazione dei cromosomi alla meiosi. (A) Se una progenie trisomica eredita da un genitore due diversi alleli (A e a) di un gene strettamente associato al centromero, la non-disgiunzione sarà avvenuta alla meiosi I (a sinistra). Se i due alleli ereditati da un genitore sono uguali (A e A; o a e a), la non-disgiunzione sarà avvenuta alla meiosi II (a destra). (B) Poiché gli aneuploidi trasportano cromosomi che non hanno un omologo a cui appaiarsi, gli individui aneuploidi producono di frequente una progenie aneuploide. (Da: Hartwell et al., 2004.)
