What is Animal Cognition? Animal cognition is the modern title to the study of the mental capacity of non human animals. This study mainly focuses on mammals such as primates, cetaceans, elephants, canidae, feline, and rodent. This study may also focus on non mammalian animals such as birds mainly parrot and pigeons. The study also focus on lizards and fish and non vertebrae mainly the cephalopods. To the intelligent man with an interest in human nature it must often appear strange that so much of the energy of the scientific world has been spent on the study of the body and so little on the study of the mind. Including knives made of stiff plants and dropping a nut in the road. • Crows in New Zealand have learned to eat the deadly poisonous cane toad by flipping it over and stabbing the toad on the throatwhere the skin is thinner allowing access to non poisonous organs • One study suggest crows might be able to recognize one from another
