Presentation Transcript

  1. Semester Project Presentation Follow this outline!

  2. Introduction On this slide, provide an introduction, or overview of your topic. What exactly did you and your partner research? Consider why you were drawn to this subject (after all you picked it) and make your audience also be interested in it.

  3. Background On this slide, share the major events or decisions that led to your topic. No need to begin with “The Big Bang,” but help your audience understand where this fits in a historical context.

  4. Political Ramifications So…what’s the big deal? How did this event, or era impact politics or policies then and now?

  5. Economic Ramifications In addition to political impact(s), what were the economic factors. Hey, I’m an English teacher, why should I care about your topic?

  6. Social Ramifications Surprise – just following your technical report, guess what comes next? Yep – social impacts. What was the bigger picture for folks in terms of social outcomes from your event/era?

  7. Extras • Make sure you read the “How to Power Point” and use a large font. • You may use images and backgrounds, but don’t spend time on fanciful animations that may not work when you upload to a different computer. • Plan to load your power point ontobsh the tablet attached to the board in Room 9 by no later than 3:00 PM on January 20th (we do NOT plan time for loading ppts on the day of presentations!)
