Definition of Moguls and Mogul Skiing • Mogul- A small hard mound or bump on a ski slope. • Mogul skiing- A skiing event in which skiers descend a slope which is covered in mounds of snow making two jump skiing down. • Link to brochure Next
Terms of Moguls • Cross– Crossing you skis while airborne into the shape of a “X”. • Flip- A summersault preformed backwards, forwards, or sideways. • Half– A flip with a half twist. • Helicopter- 360 degree spin with the skier in an upright position. • Ruts– The area formed between moguls. • http://www.vancouver2010.com Next
