Business Services The LCLS Business Planning Office: • Supports BES Linac Operations, and the LCLS and LUSI Project Teams • Coordinates business services with the SLAC sitewide systems and the LCLS PMCS systems • Ensures business information is provided using uniform methods and on a timely basis • Participates in sitewide initiatives for business process improvements advocating the project needs

  3. Business Services The LCLS Business Planning Office: • Provides training, systems support, and business advice to the Project Team • Participates in sitewide initiatives for business process improvements advocating the project needs

  5. Finance Services The LCLS Finance Group coordinates: • Development and tracking of labor rates • Tracking hours and FTEs • Tracking indirect rates and policies • Interfaces with auditors and reviewers

Finance Services The LCLS Finance Group coordinates: • Opening/closing charge numbers for authorized work scope tied to the Work Breakdown Structure • Approval of employment and purchase requisitions for budget and proper coding • Tracking of obligations and funds status • Forecasting and fiscal year budgeting

Finance Services The LCLS Finance Group coordinates : • Accruals and correcting journal entries • Monthly transfer of actual cost and labor data to the PMCS reporting systems • Reconciliation of cost control totals between Cobra, the SLAC accounting system, and the DOE contract funds status report

  8. Business Services Financial management processes are mature and approved. • In place for LCLS Construction Project over past several years • Recent successful reviews include: • ORO financial team review of LCLS funds control practices • OECM certification of EVMS
