Ingredients: Crumb: • 125g plain flour – white or wholemeal • 50g margarine • 25g sugar Optional (Crumb): • 25g oats • 25g dried fruit • 25g desiccated coconut Filling: • 2 medium sized cooking apples • Optional (Apple Filling): • 25g sugar • 25g dried fruit • Equipment: • peeler • corer • sharp knife • chopping board • large bowl • small bowl • white spoon
Method • Preheat oven Gas 5/180°c • Peel, core and slice 2 apples into small plastic bowl • Microwave 2mins on full power • Add optional items – sugar/dried fruit? • Pour apple mixture into your ovenproof dish or tin • Prepare topping – rub together 125g plain flour, 50g margarine and 25g sugar in large mixing bowl until resembles fine breadcrumbs • Add optional items – oats? dried fruit? desiccated coconut? to crumb mixture and stir • Sprinkle crumb over apple • Bake in oven 15mins. Make name label.
