Extending a UNMTemps Employee Norma Dye Staff Recruitment Services and UNMTemps Manager ndye@unm.edu 277-2851
Reason for the Change • Based on user feedback, Extending a UNMTemps employee was time consuming • Department Originators will have access to extend a UNMTemps employee through the new Extend Tab, eliminating the need to initiate a new UNMTemps Request • This change pertains to UNMTemps positions
Find the approved UNMTemps request Find Approved UNMTemps Request through the Search Actions screen Click only “Approved (UNMTemps Request)”
Find the UNMTemps Request by title, in which the current UNMTemps employee was placed, and click “View,” and then click “Edit” (see next slide)
Fill in the “New Start Date”, New End Date”, and “Name of Temporary Employee Extending” fields
Go to the “Documents Tab” (edit if applicable and continue to the “Comments Tab,” adding comments regarding the transaction) and then submit to Department Approver
Department Approver Clicks Pending Actions to Approve the Extension Once the Approver reviews the updated request, they will either choose the status “Return Action to Submitter” if they have questions or they will choose the status “Submit Action to UNMTemps” if they approve the changes
Department Originators: Cleaning Up Your Pending Actions Queue Joyce McCarthy & Jason Blankenship HR Process Improvement unmjobs@unm.edu 277-2779
Reason for the Change • Department Originators may have Pending Action queues that contain pending actions that are no longer valid • Dept. Originators will soon have the ability to remove these pending actions • This applies to Staff, Student, and Faculty • Clean queues will also allow more accurate data to be pulled during reporting
Department Originators now have the ability to remove actions from their Pending Actions Queue for the following statuses: • Saved Not Submitted • Submitted to Department Approver • Submitted to Dean/Director • Returned to Submitter
Cleaning Up Queues & Demo • The ability to delete actions will give the Dept. Originator more ability to clean up their Pending Actions queues.
