  2. MENINGOCOCO • Es una infección que causa hinchazón o inflamación de las membranas que recubren el cerebro y la medula espinal

  3. CARACTERISTICAS • Se caracteriza por un inicio repentino, de fuerte dolor de cabeza vómitos y rigidez en la nuca .afecta a todas las personas en diferentes edades pero especialmente niños en 1 y 5 años.

  4. SINTOMAS • Rigidez en la nuca • Nauseas • Vomitos • Cefalea • Aparicion de manchas rojas en la piel • Fiebres elevadas entre 39 y 40 grados

  5. MECANISMO DE TRASMICION • Es una bacteria que afecta exclusivamente al ser humano.se coloniza en la nasofaringe de los portadores y se trasmite se trasmite de persona a persona ,a traves de las secreciones de ellos.

  6. EL MENINGOCOCO • Es una bacteria gramnegativa de pequeño tamaño 0,6 1,5 de diámetro.

  7. TIPO DE VACUNA • ES UNA VACUNA BACTERIANA NO REPLICATIVA. • LIOFILIZADA.

  8. ESQUEMA EN ADULTOSEN ADULTOS • Desde los 11 hasta los 55 años • VIA DE ADM : deltoide • DOSIS: 0,5ML • AGUJA: 26 G • SINTOMAS fiebre, dolor enrojecimiento en la zona.
