2012 MLC Event Committee Charter Vision Provide outstanding and provocative lean learning events that help Michigan organizations pursue excellence and make our state the best place in the country to live, learn and earn. Mission Educate people, share knowledge and create lean awareness across industries and functions in order to promote innovation, job growth and organizational success. Team Members Vera Szram-Senyk, Kate Sweeney, Debra Levantrosser Setman, Bijay Nayak, Howard Weston, Lauren Stewart, Betsy Williams, Jessica Chaplin, Jessica Morales, Sue Emery • Meeting Frequency: monthly at a minimum • Our Role: recommend specific events to the board, liaise with the hosts/guest speakers, finalize the agenda for each event, select the date and logistics, establish an event feedback process, report the feedback to the board monthly Team Norms Type of Events • Benchmarking Tours • Training • Leadership Panels • Information Sharing Sessions • Webinars • Coaching Sessions • Collaborative programs with existing MI lean user groups and professional organizations Other Ideas Sponsorships, Partnerships of conferences & seminars, an annual MI Lean Conference
