  1. More About The Minorities in Y unnan Yunnan is a special province on the southwestern border of China . It is rich in natural resources , and the gifts of the earth , including various animals , plants and mineral resources , are concentrated on one province of Yunnan . Diverse animals and plants to feed diverse people . Although the population is not large , the richness of ethnic minorities of various parts of Yunnan can be called an ethnic museum . Each ethnic group creates splendid civilization achievements on its own land and interacting with the Han .

  2. The reason why there are so many ethnic minorities of Yunnan is mainly due to the geographical environment . The geographical environment of Yunnan is mainly composed of two geographical sections , the valley Yunnan and the plateau Yunnan . With Yuanjiang and Yunling Mountains as the boundary , Yunnan is divided into two regions , east and west . To the west is the Hengduan Mountains , which is composed of the remaining veins of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau . Among a large number of east-west Chinese mountains , there are extremely special north-south mountains . To the east is a part of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau . For example , the Yunnan Cultural Center formed by the Dianchi Dam , the Dali Erhai Cultural Center formed by the Erhai Dam and the Zhaotong Zhuti Cultural Center formed by the Zhaolu Dam is the three major cultural centers of colorful Yunnan .

  4. The ancestors of more than 20 modern ethnic groups such as the Yi , Bai , and Dai in Yunnan today are mostly ancient ethnic groups that were once active in the periphery of the Han . After losing in the struggle for survival resources , they went south one after another , looking for fertile dams and river valleys in remote Yunnan for recuperation .

  5. There are 26 ethnic minorities of Yunnan , including Bai , Wa , Dai , Nu , J ingpo , Achang , Lisu , Bulang , Dulong , Hani , Deang , J inuo , Pumi , Naxi , and Lahu .
