  1. Run12 MuTR HV Optimization RIKEN/RBRC Itaru Nakagawa

  2. ADC Distribution Landau Distribution Most Probable Value (MPV) Of Minimum Ionization Particle (MIP)

  3. Resolution vs. S/N Relation Resolution N/S Goal : Getting Position Resolution of 100 ~ 150 mm! Reduce Noise (Pedestal RMS) Increase Signal -> Increase Gain (HV, Gas)

  4. Run12 MuTR HV Scan Executed Feb. 14, 2012. 200GeV pp Ar : CO2 : CF4 = 52 : 29.4 : 18.6 (analysis result from Atlantic Analysis Lab. March,7,2012) ADTX : LV on (-20 ADC channel in MIP)

  5. HV Scan Conditions • Run9 vs. Run12 • North should be +20% increase in ADC channel • South should be similar gain.

  6. North Gain Comparison DADC=p0+p1*DV+p2**DV No advantage seen for +2% increase of Ar gas MPV [ADC channel]

  7. South Gain Comparison -20ch for Run12 Due to ADTX on Overall, MuTR Gain seems lower than that of Run11
