MuTr Mechanics Status • SOUTH ARM: • Chambers • fabrication complete • Stations 2+3 • installed • Station 1 • test-installed • will be reinstalled when alignment fibers in • Alignment system • Installed Sept-Oct as parts arrive • Gas system • installation beginning, expect completed by end of Sept. • HV distribution system • In fab, install with FEE • Magnet buss modification • In-progress, by Charlie. Needs to be complete by ~October • Manpower required • Couple hours for St. 1

MuTr Mechanics Status • NORTH ARM: Necessary to begin work this shutdown if we want it to be ready for data taking by 2002 • Work required: • Magnet preparation-few months of work slated for this shutdown • Chamber installation - 2001 shutdown • Status of work for this shutdown: • Drawings for templates for magnet drilling completed by mid October • Chambers • Designs completed • Procurement of parts beginning now • Expect completed chambers by Summer 2001

MuTr FEE Status--Assembly Hall • SOUTH ARM: • Already completed • cable tray installation • internal support structure installation • test-installation of most of the CRAs • scaffolding installation/fixes • test-installation of St. 1 FEE plate • prototype mount of Glink/Clink crates • Rack platform installed • Racks filled and stands completed (LV, HV, calibration system, slow controls, ARCNet hub, patch panel, … all ready) • In progress: • Production of all Glink/Clink mounts • Plumbing and power for racks • Plumbing for FEE cooling water and dry air • To Come: • Installation of populated CRAs and FEE plate, cable routing, testing

MuTr FEE Status • Mechanical Hardware • All chassis, CRAs, Station 1 FEE plate • assembled, plumbed and pressure/leak tested • Ready for board installation and testing • Test stands • Test stands for several different board types • essentially complete • Test plans for stuffed CRAs, FEE plate completed • Boards and cables • All board orders out • Backplane--first item received and go ahead given for full production 8-Sep. Should receive full production Oct. 6 • Control Board--20 boards already received and tested o.k. Full production expected Sep. 29 • CROC--36 boards shipped, full production expected Sep. 22 • Glink/Clink boards--first items expected next week full production expected Oct. 20 • Analog cables--already received 480, full shipment by Nov. 1 • LV cables--fabricated and tested • Glink/Clink cables--expected • First CRA expected complete end of Sept / beginning of Oct • All electronics completed end of November--Still expect to be able to meet this deadline, but no contingency
