Vision The Ateneo Chemistry Society is a community that shares a passion in promoting the relevant applications of chemistry for social involvement towards progressive nation-building.
Mission Driven by the desire to provide a deeper understanding of chemistry to others, the organization aims to enrich the appreciation of this science in everyday life by transforming its concepts into experience through innovative and creative projects.
Business statement, Thrust Business statement: Catalyzing social dynamism through excellence in chemistry. Thrust: For this school year, the Ateneo Chemistry Society directs its efforts to membership formation, systems development, and community involvement.
Goals To organize chemistry-related activities such as competitions, seminars, company tours, exhibits, and the like. To provide academic assistance to its members and the Ateneo student body through tutorials, book-lending programs, and study guide contributions. To strengthen the bond between the Society and the Chemistry Department by organizing activities such as seminars and talks wherein the faculty could participate and provide their contributions.
Goals To conduct activities that foster camaraderie and cooperation among its members through the house system and other recreational activities such as general assemblies, sports festivals, family days, and social gatherings. To provide avenues for creative expression among its members through the tambayan logbook, ACheS publication, ACheS website, and other artistic endeavors related to chemistry. To reach out to the Filipino community by means of projects that enhance interest and awareness in chemistry.

This year’s publication will focus more on science features but will also contain reports about organization projects.

Office of the Vice-Presidents for Publications and Documentations Adobe Seminar Series Committees needed: Secretariat Finance Logistics Documen-tations Target date: August 7 and 10 Project head: Albert Chen Description The Adobe Seminar Series introduces members and Ateneans to concepts involved in layouting promotional materials. The first seminar will cover a basic approach to the programs while the second one will involve more advanced techniques as well as marketing tips.

Aimed at promoting a deeper appreciation of chemistry, this contest challenges the participants with questions of different levels of difficulty in a quiz bee setting.

The ACheS IHSCC challenges the participants with chemistry questions from basic, intermediate, and advanced high school chemistry.

Office of the Vice-President for Academics A-Problem-a-Week Volunteers needed: One person per house Description This year-long project aims to promote academic excellence through a weekly dose of chemistry problems. One problem per week will be given for each batch (1st to 4th year), and one member per house must submit an answer. Correct entries will merit house points, and a prize will be raffled off among correct submissions at the end of the week.

ACheS Week Description ACheS Week is a week-long celebration and appreciation of chemistry and its applications. It consists of different projects that are open to the whole Ateneo community. For this year, projects include Beat the Chem Geeks, ACheS Seminar, Ice Cream Making Contest, Marble Madness, Kimikantahan and the Major Sale.
