  1. State Home Construction Grant Program Update Project Funding • VA receives $85M program funding (FY14) • VA funds 24 state home grants ($96.5M) • 16 final grant awards ($18.9M) • 7 conditional grant awards ($55.6M) • VA funds Walla Walla SVH ($22M) • VA requests $80M in program funding (FY15)

State Home Construction Grant Program Update New Grant Applications • VA received 34 initial grant applications for FY15 • Total VA matching funds = $212M • 13 safety and 18 renovation projects ($69M) • 4 new construction projects ($143M) • Total 500 beds in WI, MD, HI & AZ • All safety projects will be funded in FY15 • Reminder: Initial grant applications may be submitted year round in grants.gov

State Home Construction Grant Program Update Grant Reimbursement • VA currently provides reimbursement on 98 grant awards. • Clear all state requests by end of week • 18 of 98 awards are >95% complete • VA estimates 60+ grants closed in FY14 • VA processes 150+ state reimbursement requests in FY14. • VA reimburses states > $90M in construction costs
