Math is a Game • When I was young my Dad used to tell me that school was a game. My job was to win the game by learning and asking questions. • Grades are how we keep score in the game. • I like math because each problem is like a little puzzle just waiting to be solved. I love knowing that if I try hard enough I can always find the right answer.

In fact, I was the photographer at one of the other seventh grade teacher’s wedding. Find out whose wedding it was by solving the problem below. The solution will tell you the teacher’s room number at River Trail.
Learning is Fun! I love to learn new things. I think the challenge of doing something I haven’t done before is very satisfying. As a result, I have been a student for most of my life! Use the clues on this page to figure out how long I’ve been a student. Give your answer in years and months. Show how you arrived at your solution using words, pictures, and/or symbols. • I was born, October 27, 1974. • I started going to First Montessori when I was three years old. • I graduated from Chattahoochee High School in June 1993. • I graduated 6 months early from Emory University. • I have two master’s degrees. The first one took 1.5 years to complete. • For the second one, I was working full time and going to school part time so it took much longer. • I went to school for twice as long as it took me to finish the first master’s degree then I took a year off before completing my final year. • I graduated in March 2011 with my Educational Specialist degree. I started that Degree in July 2009.
