Registrar prints out weekly attendance sheet for each teacher and places them in teacher’s boxes every Friday. • Teachers make all corrections in red, sign verifying attendance, and returns sheet to the registrar by Monday.
Registrars make corrections in STI and place the signed attendance sheet in ring binder provided by Student Support Services. • Binders will be checked by Attendance Officers/Social Workers during weekly visits for compliance. Reminder these are legal documents.
Registrars will print a twenty day attendance summary report and place in teacher’s boxes the day after the 20th day. • Teachers will make corrections in red, sign verifying attendance, and return report to the registrar the following day.

It is the responsibility of each school to contact parents (phone, home visit, letter, or conference) about absences, tardies, and early dismissals prior to referring them to attendance officers.
New unexcused letter of notification have been loaded into local school servers by the Attendance Officer/Social Worker. All letters must be uniform for the district.
The 1st Unexcused absence letter is from the school. • The 2nd Unexcused absence letter is from the Attendance Officer sent by the school.
The 3rd Unexcused Absence letter is from District Attorney sent by the school. ( This is the last warning before legal system gets involved.)
The 5th Unexcused Absence letter is a notification to the parents of their mandatory attendance to the Early Warning Truancy Program.
EARLY WARNING TRUANCY PROGRAM • Parent attendance is mandatory. • If the student’s attendance improves the school continues to monitor attendance. • If the parent does not attend or Unexcused Absences continue a Legal Notice-Petition to Juvenile Court will be processed.
