  2. What is Animal Cognition? Animal cognition is the modern title to the study of the mental capacity of non human animals. That’s fancy talk for the study of how smart animals are. This study mainly focuses on mammals such as primates, cetaceans, elephants, canidae, feline, and rodent. This study may also in non mammalian animals such as birds mainly parrot and pigeons. The study also foucus on lizards and fish and non vertabrae mainly the cetacens.
