  1. What is the Pulse Health App? Prudential Singapore has launched its wellness and fitness app Pulse in April of 2020. The app is open to all Singaporean residentsabove the age of 18 years. You can download the app from Google Play and App Store , depending on the device that you use. The Objective of the App The main objective of thePulse app is to make healthcare accessible to each and every individual, that too at an affordable cost - this is part of Prudential’s strategy for the entire region. The app is in its first phase now. The company is working to upgrade the app and to add more value to it so that it can launch an improved version in the 2nd half of 2020. After that, there are plans to take this app to 11 more markets across Asia that are part of Prudential’s network.

  2. Salient Features of the App Health check – This tool comes in the form of an MCQ. It will ask you questions pertaining to current health conditions, self and family medical history, diet regime, etc. It also generates a 3D view of your anatomy.The health check feature attempts to create your “Digital Twin.” This twin will state the probability of diseases that might affect you in the days ahead. It also suggests to you how to ensure your well-being.

  3. Symptom checker- You need to enter the details pertaining to your health symptoms. The checker will ask you several related questions. AI powers the chat-bot that will study your responses and analyse your condition. Post these analyses, it will provide suitable recommendations (like self-care, pharmacy, hospital, hospital urgent, etc.). It will also update you on the possible causes as and when it obtains additional information.

  4. Video consultation – The app also facilitates a video consultation with doctorsround the clock. The doctors will do a diagnosis and will also provide you with suitable advice regarding the treatment. Once the doctor prescribes the medicine, you can order it online for home delivery or buy it at the local pharmacist. This feature is chargeable at S$15, excluding medication & delivery costs.

  5. Thus, Pulse is a useful and beneficial health app that every Singaporean should install & register him/herself with. It will help to track your health on a continuous basis and also provide easy access to video consultations with doctor in the event of any health-related discomfort or worry that you might have.
