  3. KUZEYDOĞU ANADOLU FAY ZONU Atım miktarı • GPS verilerine göre 8 mm/yıl • Jeolojik verilere göre 1.8-2.5 mm/yıl.

  4. Kuzeydoğu Anadolu Fay Zonu, Doğu Anadolu’daki en önemli yapıdır. Erzurum’dan Kafkaslar’a doğru kuzeydoğu yönünde yaklaşık 350 km. boyunda uzanmaktadır. • Jeolojik gözlemlere göre yılda 18-25 mm., • GPS ölçümlerine göre yılda 8 mm., • jeofizik verilere göre yılda 0,9 mm., • kinematik verilere göre ise yılda 6 mm. hareket etmektedir. Doğu Anadolu’da, tüm bu yapıların ifade ettiği kuzey-güney yönlü kısalmanın oranı senede 10 mm. olarak belirtilmektedir.
