Cassidy Elementary – Renovation Rendering of Final Façade
Cassidy Elementary – Renovation • Work Completed in Last 30 Days: • Storm sewers installed on south side and across new front parking lot. • Grading complete around new Morton Parking Lot. Concrete curbs and subgrade installed. • Grading started at sidewalks and playground. Concrete retaining walls in place. • Fire Protection water pit installed at Cassidy Rd. Gas main installed. Sanitary sewer manholes and connector piping installed. • Demolition continues with new stage opening and new openings and doorways for corridor extensions. Stairway demolition is approximately 75% complete. • Foundations for stage complete. • Music Classroom addition foundation, 1st floor slab, 2nd floor joist and slab installed. Masonry bearing walls and steel column/beams complete. Interior masonry partition walls on going. • Plumbing rough-ins have continued as masonry walls are installed. • Electric conduits and rough-ins continue in Admin Addition above ceiling and in masonry walls as needed.
Cassidy Elementary – Renovation • Current Work Effort (August): • Storm sewers will continue as site work allows. • New 3” domestic water main service will complete. • Site grading will complete around the playground. Sidewalk/paving work will complete at playground area. • Chimney demolition to begin the first week of September – pending confirmation that chimney swifts have vacated. • Stage concrete slab and masonry bearing walls to be complete. Roof joists for Music Rm. and Stage Addition to be in place. • HVAC ducting and piping to start in the Admin. Addition and existing building in Phase 1 area. • Sprinkler piping to start in the Admin. Addition and existing building in Phase 1 area. • Electric conduit and rough-ins to continue.

Russell Cave Elementary – Renovation • Work Completed in Last 30 Days: • Exterior walls at new addition are complete, block and brick. Interior walls are complete. • Roof trusses and metal deck at new addition have been installed. • Interior of Kitchen/Cafeteria is complete. • Renovation of (4) classrooms on the south side continues. • Masonry restoration on the exterior of the original building in process. • New electric service for new addition to be complete before school begins. • Current Work Effort (August): • Interior ramp and stair in new addition will be poured. • Masonry restoration of the east wall will be completed. • Roof at new addition will be installed. • Install new ductwork in new addition and four classrooms. • Install overhead electrical rough-in and temporary power and lights in new addition and four classrooms. • Construction fence will be reinstalled around new addition before the start of school.

Arlington Elementary – Renovation • Work Completed in Last 30 Days: • Selective demolition in existing building. • Earthwork and Site utilities are ongoing. • Building foundations are in place at the gym, kitchen and cafeteria. • Relocation of utilities and installation of manhole in Arceme are in progress. • Under slab utilities at custodial receiving and Mechanical room are in place. • Masonry and hollow metal door frames started on west wall of the gymnasium. • Current Work Effort (August): • Demolition of existing masonry at building to remain and construction of replacement wall. • Site storm sewer installation. • Underground utilities will continue. • Masonry wall construction at the addition continues. • 95% complete with demolition in existing building. • Continue utility rough-in at the existing building. • Installation of temporary roof at the existing building.
