East Auditorium Stage! • Closed until further notice due to safety concerns with the rigging system • House can still be used for meetings and assemblies • All concerts/events will be rescheduled at the J.P. Auditorium
Snow Make-Up Days • Snow Make-up days: • April 17, 2014 • May 20, 2014 • Any additional snow days will be added to the end of the school year. • Any staff development days that are used for snow make-up will be added to the end of the school year.
Building Access • Please check your Friday email for building accessibility • Everyone must enter the building via the front doors of each building • Sign in and out on the board so we know who is in the building at any given time
Computer Lab • Computer keys missing • All students must be supervised while in the computer lab
CDT Testing Dates • January 27-29 (Biology) • January 30-February 3 (Algebra 1) • February 4-6 (CA 100/200) • February 10-12 (ELL/Make-ups) • Next testing window- Late March, Early April
CDT Testing • Check the computer labs and library for availability, CDT testing will take priority and possibly unavailable during the testing time. • Testing teachers, if you are completed before your allotted time, erase your name from the sign in for the day(s) you won’t be using the lab or library. • If you have any questions, please be in touch with Tony Marulla (JP), Florence Krane (East)
ACCESS Testing • Date: Jan. 27-Feb. 6th in CA Class • February 9-March 7th - some students may be pulled out to complete testing *This includes make ups and students who receive consultative services *Alternate ACCESS - STW and LFS studentsPlease encourage students to do their best on the test. If you have any questions, please ask an ESL teacher and/or email Amber Hilt. Note: Amber Hilt will be at JP Wednesday, Jan 22nd to discuss this slide and answer any questions.
AFJROTC Cadet Promotion Ceremony • Time: 1st 15-20 minutes of periods 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 • AFJROTC CADET NAMES
Parent Contacts • Teachers are expected to interact with parents/guardians on a regular basis • Staff should document contacts on call logs and on Eschool SSPs and submit them on the last Friday of the month to the SLC secretary of your OSE assigned assistant principal • These contacts can resolve discipline problems and gain the support of parents/guardians
Parent Conferences • The East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church, will be providing dinner on February 6th. Dinner is for all campus staff members participating with the long day of Parent Teacher Conferences. The meal will be available in the cafeteria at East from 4:30 – 6 p.m. The meal will include taco salad (taco meat, beans, lettuce, red/green peppers, cucumbers, chips, cheese and salsa- make your own), fruit and their homemade goodies from the congregation.
Parent Conferences • Parents/Guardians that attended the January 9, 2014 PAC meeting received first choice for conference time(s) • ELL/Special Education Support/Gifted teachers will attend the conferences of their students • Remember to keep track of student /parent attendance (Turn papers into the office)
Co-Curricular Positions • Staff needed to fill the following positions: • Six STEM Advisors • (East building: Hess) (J.P.: ) *Still need 2 for East and 3 for J.P.
Holiday Celebration • Date: January 24, 2014 • Time: 5:00-8:00 pm • Place: Federal Taphouse, 201 N. Queen St. • Cost: $10.00 per person • Appetizers will be provided • All types of beverages will be available • Please bring spouse, friends, or other • RSVP (East-Welk) or (J.P.-Bechtel) • IF and ONLY IF you are attending next Friday's Holiday Celebration, you are allowed to wear jeans to school that day (Friday, January 24th).
