  1. 12 October, 1492 Dearest Family, I’ve been on this ship for two months now and they are making me work really hard . The name of our ship is Santa Maria and our captain is Christopher Columbus but we are on a big ship so I can live with that. We are on our way to Guanahani .   2. 11 October, 1492 Dearest Family, This island is so beautiful. I wish all of you were here so we can be together. I’m very homesick and I wish that I can come home but this island is my home now. All trees are so big and puffy when Columbus got there he named the island San Salvaordor. We Traded a lot of things parrots , cotton thread, and many other things and we swapped the glass Beads and hawks balls. We meet a lot of different people like the Tainos and at dawn we saw naked people . Well I have to go now so I love all of you. Love, Toneice Lashawn Bell
