  11. Education • From the time Wendy could read and write she dreamed of becoming a writer. • Wendy wrote plays, stories and poetry all out her schools years. When she was nine she wrote a story called “spring island “ she thinks this story was likely to be the start of Nims Island. Wendy wanted to study journalism but didn’t want to be a reporter. Wendy started animal care in Kingstom Ontario she realised that wasn’t for her either so she went to England. On a short holiday in Wales she was to meet an Australian man who turned out to be her future husband. Wendy and Tom moved to NSW where Wendy worked as an occupational therapist. • Wendy started writing seriously in 1986 where I wrote the picture book Amanda’s Dinosaur which won Ashton Scholastic competition for an unpublished picture book text and has been writing ever since. • I Got information from Google.
