Technical Stop25.06.2012 --- 29.06.2012 Oleg Maev, 02.07.2012 • HV • - Conditioning with negative polarity has been done for 6 CMBs on A-side and 44 CMBs on C-side • 50 chambers (200 Gaps) in total. • - M2C_18A2_GapC – connected to HV (broken connector). • It was disconnected from the beginning. Had been spotted just occasionally. • - Prophylactic RDB replacement – RDB#18 replaced by RDB#11 on A-side. • HV propagates from Master channel was >2kV and affected status of MUON (Not_Ready) at STANDBY1 • - Master with new type of HV-regulators has been installed in PNPI HV • (Master#08 replaced by Master#01) • If it will show a stable operation in the rest this year, all Masters can be upgraded in LS1. • * All detailes on TWIKI - https://lbtwiki.cern.ch/bin/view/MUON/TodoListNextTS

Technical Stop25.06.2012 --- 29.06.2012 Oleg Maev, 02.07.2012 Intervention on electronics: 3. Installation ferrite cable filters on control and signal cables on chamber side to suppress the noise(M5 back and column D). The main aim is to get some experience on that before LS1. Done for M1A32B, M4C31A, M5C01C and for M5A and M5C - rows 31, 29, 25, 27, and on chambers A17D, A19D, A21D, A23D, A17C, A21C, A23C, C17D, C21D, C23D, C17C, C19C, C21C. * All detailes on TWIKI - https://lbtwiki.cern.ch/bin/view/MUON/TodoListNextTS

29.06.2012Friday Oleg Maev, 02.07.2012 • Last day of TS (morning) and resuming MUON for operation (afternoon). • First look on system shown that everywhere we improved LV the thresholds should be renewed. • 2. Threshold scan in Q2/Q3 started for 15 hours. Q1/Q4 have been scanned day before. • Unfortunately it was started with some mess. • Just to remind: • Muon Piquet is only one responsible person for the detector for 24/7. • He/She must be informed by phone on any action with detector which is out of routine. It should be happened not only in advance but and just before it is really started to get a proper feedback on the real situation in the PIT. • Very probably the threshold scan data are partially corrupted and have to be carefully analyzed before using for creation a new recipes.
30.06.2012Saturday Oleg Maev, 02.07.2012 Setting the new thresholds for chambers with new LV-conditions. With using the noise plots I set new thresholds manually on all FEBs in following chambers: M1AR1_18A1, M3AR3_16B, M2CR4 (1A, 1B, 1D, 2A, 3A, 4A, 4B, 5A, 5B, 6B, 7A, 7B, 8B), M2CR3_17B, M3CR1_18A1, M3CR2_19A1, M3CR3_18B and few more FEBs. >2000 channels. It was not very funny to be honest=))). Example: MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 0 ThresholdSet 72 -> 86 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 1 ThresholdSet 82 -> 90 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 2 ThresholdSet 72 -> 85 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 3 ThresholdSet 81 -> 88 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 4 ThresholdSet 79 -> 88 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 5 ThresholdSet 85 -> 96 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 6 ThresholdSet 73 -> 85 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 7 ThresholdSet 80 -> 88 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 8 ThresholdSet 82 -> 95 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 9 ThresholdSet 79 -> 88 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 10 ThresholdSet 88 -> 96 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 11 ThresholdSet 74 -> 85 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 12 ThresholdSet 85 -> 95 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 13 ThresholdSet 75 -> 85 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 14 ThresholdSet 76 -> 86 MUONA_DAQ_M1A_R1_CMB18A1 FEB00 15 ThresholdSet 81 -> 90
30.06.2012Saturday Oleg Maev, 02.07.2012 TAE runs in FILL 2786 dedicated for Roman Pots alignment in TOTEM: 119890 - writing in local (SQEEZE) - can be copied on CASTOR afterwords - done, RICHs in 119891 - already on CASTOR (ADJUST), RICHs in 119892 - RICHs in 119893 (we took out RICHs)- thresholds have been set on M3C19A1 and M3C18B in this run 119894 - thresholds have been set on M3A16B and M2C17B in this run 119895 Fill ID is wrong in DB (2772 instead of 2786) Finally we took almost 40 Mevts. Global timing was shifted by +1ns.
