Program Manager • Expense Authority • Liaison with other Ministries and agencies • Increasing awareness of the M-KMA • Becoming involved with M-K related initiatives • Keeping apprised of activities in and around the M-KMA • Working with the ILMB Planning Team • Working to fully incorporate the Mackenzie Addition of the M-KMA

ILMB Planning Team • Jason Lawson (Team Leader) • Rod Backmeyer (M-K Planner) • Focus on the M-KMA • Pre-Tenure Plan review and development of a monitoring and implementation framework • Upper Sikanni Plan update • Fort St. John and Fort Nelson LRMPs • M-K Recreation Plan • Anna Regnier (Planner) • Focus on Forestry • Dawson Creek LRMP • Old Growth • Mountain Pine Beetle/LRMP Review • Cynthia Cole (GIS Technician) • GIS & Mapping support

Program Manager & ILMB Planning Team Activities • IAMC report, anticipated completion mid November • Overview flights in the Fox, Obo and Sikanni south • Participation on Peace Managers and IAMC • Involvement in M-KAB committees • Coordination of projects • Completion of Visual Quality Guidelines for the M-KMA

Activities in the M-KMA • Seismic • 3 Heliportable projects in the Bucking Horse, Pink Mountain and West Sikanni • Mineral exploration • Trident project Churchill • Geophysical exploration in Robb Lake • Oil and gas • Currently 3 producing wells • Awaiting OGC report on new tenures etc. • Forestry • No harvesting this year • 2 selective cut blocks on the Cypress have been deffered • Wind power • An Investigative Use Permit has been issued in the vicinity of Horseshoe Creek and met. towers are proposed.

Next Steps for Program Manager& Planning Team • AMA Round Table with various ministries and agencies • AMA review participation with MOE • Development of monitoring plans for each Pre-Tenure plan area • Completion of Old Growth Management Plans • Complementation of the M-KMA Recreation Plan • Improving linkages to other plans and statutory decision making • Presentation to Mackenzie Forest District Staff • Working with agencies from the Mackenzie side of the M-KMA • Access Management • LRMP meetings • Harmonization of M-KMA Local Strategic Plans
