Shutdown 2012 Machine Status: LINAC – Operational for NTF (3 days a week) ~1 week supervised access starting Thursday TeV & Muon Rings – Part available for tours with approval and appropriate training Power Outages: • Tuesday, June 5th MI20 – AM (0800-1200) MI40 – PM (1300-1700) • Wednesday, June 6th MI30 – AM (0800-1200) MI50 – PM (1300-1700) • Thursday, June 7th MI12 – AM (0800-1200) MI10 – PM (1300-1700) • Friday, June 8th MI8 – AM (0800-1200) MI65 – PM (1300-1700) • Tuesday, June 12 MI62 – AM (0800-1200) MI52 – PM (1300-1700) • Wednesday, June 13 MI60 – AM (0800-1200)
Shutdown 2012 Power Outages Continued: • Friday, June 15th@ 0700-0730 Master Substation will be back-fed from the Kautz Road Substation. All of the site with the exception of Main Injector and Village will go down. • This outage includes Wilson Hall, Education Center, CMS Remote Control Room, NML, all Experimental Halls, and Control Rooms. • Feynman Computer Center and Grid Computing Center plan run off generators during the outage. Power Curtailment: • We have a contract with Energy Curtailment Specialists • June 1st – September 30th • Firm Service Level Contract – Site below 25MW • We can have 10 events, up to 6 hours each. • Test usually happens in August, will probably occur in June this year. • Will not need to reduce power as in the past. Most accelerators are off. We will monitor levels.
