Intel ISEF Educator Academy Reflection • The ISEF Educator Academy enlightened us as to different possibilities when considering both science fair and the inquiry model. Science fair can occur both formally within a class or informally within a club. The inquiry model can also take many shapes; where degrees of scaffolding can be considered and implemented. • The key-note presentation by Carl Wieman was simply inspirational, where specific implementable approaches were presented. The Shop Talk on the flipped classroom, inquiry skills, and creating a culture of research where wonderful with specific strategies. Special thanks to Kristen Harrison for her realistic and pragmatic approach to infusing inquiry throughout a school.
