Actuality • People were always interested in peaceful life without wars. But sometimes it was really difficult to keep situation controlled and not to start to make a war. • We all knew about a huge amount of past battles on territory of Great Britain. But how many of them would be, if there were not people who prevented and prevent now conflict between states. • So rightly assume that this theme is quite popular in the society, especially nowadays..
Real meaning of well-known word • Diplomacy NOUN • 1.The profession, activity, or skill of managing international relations, typically by a country’s representatives abroad. • 2.The art of dealing with people in a sensitive and tactful way.
British diplomacy is a classic, as a standard, it influenced the development of international diplomacy in the XIX-XX centuries. The first diplomatic document was Merchant Charter, dated back to 1303.
“The country in which the sun never sets" • The strongest feature of British diplomacy is the perfect knowledge of the subject, of problems that should be solved, knowledge of countries, encyclopedic data that are passed from generation to generation.
