  2. Hipotezė – uždengus degančią žvakę stikline, ji užges.Priemonės: 2 žvakės, stiklinis indas, degtukai, laikrodis.

  3. Paimame žvakutę ir stiklinį indą.

  4. Uždegame žvakutę ir ją uždengiame stikliniu indeliu. Laukiame kas bus.

  5. Žvakutės liepsnelė pradeda mažėti. Lėtai gęsta.

  6. Po 15 s žvakutė užgęsta.

  7. Paimame ir uždegame dvi žvakutes. Jas abi kartu uždengiame po vienu indu.

  8. Žvakutės dega, bet labai greitai liepsnelės pradeda mažėti. • Po 6 s žvakutės užgęsta.

  9. Hipotezė pasitvirtino. • Išvada. Degimui reikalingas deguonis. Kai žvakutę uždengiame indu, liepsna dega tiek laiko, kiek užtenka deguonies. Kai jį sunaudoja, liepsnelė užgęsta. • Dvi žvakutės užgęsta žymiai greičiau, nes jos greičiau sunaudoja deguonį.
