How Energy for Road Transportation has Changed Since the 1700’s By Drew Hillier
ADVANTAGES • Comfortable • Not too complicated • No pollution • Looks very pretty
DISADVANTAGES • Wheels often come loose • Horse needs to be fed • Must clean up after horse • Horse gets tired • Horse might get sick • Horse eventually must retire
ADVANTAGES • Doesn’t get sick • Doesn’t need to be cleaned up after • Doesn’t need to be trained
DISADVANTAGES Too many to count! Here’s a few: • Very bad engine • Unstable weight • Fire needs to be relit often • Drove at a sluggish 2mph
ADVANTAGES • More stable • Uses gasoline • More comfortable
DISADVANTAGES • Pollutes the environment • Still slow, at 10 mph
ADVATAGES • Cheap • Sturdy • Sheltered • Large • Faster at about 40-45 mph or around 70 kph
DISADVANTAGES • Pollutes
ADVANTAGES • Good for nose-in parking • Takes up half the space of a normal car • Fast • Plug-in and charge electric model coming out soon, good source of energy • Fast ad a top speed of 130 kph
DISADVANTAGES Very few! • Not much room • Older ones still pollute, proving internal combustion engines are not an excellent power generator. Electric cars or cars with hydrogen fuel cells are much cleaner, and more efficient.
