  2. Agenda • McAfee issues of 3/21 • PGP Renewal • Microsoft Renewal – IUC Direction • Office 2010 – Activation Changes • Adobe Reseller RFP, CLP Agreement • License Agreement process changes • New licenses, Renewals, and Upgrades

  3. McAfee Issues of 3/21 • DAT released that quarantined/deleted svchost.exe • Customers with ePO updated directly from NAI affected • OCIO’s vscan.osu.edu repository not affected • OCIO in discussion with McAfee regarding resolution/restitution

  4. PGP Renewal • Current agreement ends June 22, 2010 • If no action is taken, drives will decrypt beginning July 22, 2010 • Status of drives not connected to the network is currently unknown; OCIO is seeking answers • Verbal agreement on pricing, terms • Similar in price, volume may increase price • Seeking creative solutions to payment and pricing

  5. Microsoft Campus Agreement • Four responses, including our current vendor, SHI • IUC, on advice from this committee and the MS Renewal Committee from the last CA, is seeking a two-vendor solution • If all goes as planned, we can choose our reseller on our own terms • In discussion now with two vendors • 4 hour turn-around, remediation plan, visits and face-to-face quarterly reviews to resolve issues • No matter what, different sales team

  6. Office 2010 • Activation changes • Office 2010 requires 2.0 activation • KMS or MAK • No VLPK • KMS is updated and ready-to-go • MAK: 1000 keys initially • More can be requested, but not until they are exhausted

  7. Adobe CLP and Reseller RFP • CLP has been renewed, minor changes in who can have the CLP Agreement number • Reseller agreement with SHI has expired, so number provided to: • SHI • CDWG • GovConnection • JourneyEd • Site Licensing intends to move forward on an RFP for a single reseller due to bid limits

  8. License Agreement Process • Seeking to begin movement of agreements to online state • Requests from this group • Student surveys • Plan phased approach • Some agreements require more information than others • Rolled out with new versions

  9. Upgrades • MATLAB 2010a • Final testing of uploaded product • Checking on license agreement needs • Move entirely to download site? • Maple 14 • Potential move to 100% download • Systat 13 • Rolled out last month • PASW Amos patch 18.0.2
