“Thin Red Line” • British soldiers shoulder to shoulder, three lines in red uniforms • French line was stretched out and soldiers were tired and out of breath, ineffective shots • At 70 metres apart, British soldiers began to shoot. Every 20 seconds
Victory? • General James Wolfe and Montcalm were both killed in this battle. • The French governor surrendered to the British commander, Quebec came under British control
Articles of Capitulation • The French governor presented General Amherst with a list of demands to protect the inhabitants of Quebec
