  3. PUSAT LITBANG HUTAN DAN KONSERVASI ALAM KEHIDUPAN LEBAH MADU • Berkoloni (berkeluarga) • Terdiri dari 3 kasta Ratu (1 ekor) Pejantan (puluhan s/d ratusan ekor) Pekerja (ribuan ekor) • Sarang (tunggal/ganda) untuk mengerami anakan dan menyimpan cadangan makanan.

  6. PUSAT LITBANG HUTAN DAN KONSERVASI ALAM FUNGSI DAN TUGAS Ratu : Reproduksi Harmonisasi koloni Jantan : Mengawini ratu Pekerja : semua pekerjaan, kecuali reproduksi

Tugas lebah pekerja : • Umur 1 – 3 hari membersihkan sarang • Umur 4 – 10 hari memberi makan larva (kelenjar hypopharyng di bag. kepala berfungsi maksimal). • Umur 11 – 16 hari membangun sarang (kelenjar lilin di bag. abdomen berfungsi maksimal) • Umur 17 – 23 hari menjaga sarang • Umur 24 hari dst. mencari makan.

  8. PUSAT LITBANG HUTAN DAN KONSERVASI ALAM PERKEMBANGBIAKAN • Individu (metamorphosis sempurna) telur – larva – pupa – lebah madu • Koloni (pemecahan koloni). Proses metamorphosis : Ratu selama ± 16 hari Pekerja ± 19 hari Pejantan ± 21 hari
