Materials • 2 eggs • Vinegar • Corn syrup • 2 cups • H²0 (water) • A string • Tape measure • Two beakers • A balance
Hypothesis (Water egg) • Hypothesis was wrong. • Different liquids effect egg size. • I thought water egg would dissolve after sitting in water for 24 hrs.
Hypothesis (Corn syrup egg) • Hypothesis was wrong. • Different liquids effect egg size. • Thought egg would also dissolve.
Conclusion (Water egg) • Egg enlarged. • Water moved into this egg. • Egg has lower concentration of water. • Water moved from higher concentration (water) to low concentration (egg)
Conclusion (Corn syrup egg) • Egg shrunk. • Water moved into this egg. • Egg had higher water concentration than corn syrup. • Water moved from higher concentration (egg) to lower concentration (corn syrup).
Observation #2 Water egg: • Bouncy • Soggy • Squishy Corn syrup egg: • Ruiny • Soft
